One Direction‘s Louis Tomlinson is not happy with a recent report in the U.K. paper The Independent.

The paper highlighted a photo of Tomlinson wearing a T-shirt with the vintage Apple logo (done in rainbow colors), and wondered if the wardrobe selection could be interpreted as a public gesture supporting Apple CEO Tim Boil, who recently came out.

Tomlinson seemed to take the reporter’s remark as speculation that Tomlinson himself was gay, a classification Tomlinson denied on Twitter. 

The writer of the article responded on Twitter, “At no point did we insinuate anything about your sexuality or mention your relationship, and nor would we…We were merely speculating as to whether you’d shown your support to a brave man facing some persecution…”
