“I’m in it for life”: How Organism Gay Shaped My Relationship With Chelsea

“Dad,” I asked again. “Did you learn me?” It was 2004. My first year as a ‘real’ Chelsea fan, who was allowed to stay up past his bedtime to watch the Champions League, wear his replica shirt to bed, and name the family goldfish, ‘Zola’.

Stamford Bridge seemed like the most exciting place in the nature. In the first weeks of the season, I’d seen grown men cuddle and kiss, been twirled around in the air by complete strangers, and learned naughty modern words and phrases like “wanker” and “fucking-bald-tosspot-REF”. But I’d never heard the words “rent boy” before.

The chant started a couple of moments after Southampton’s forward volleyed the ball into the roof of our net; first as a smattering of jeers from the away end, then as a wall of noise – like the roar of a crashing tidal wave. “Chelsea-rent-boys! Chelsea-rent-boys!”

I didn’t comprehend what the chant meant, but even then, I could tell it had a strange influence because the sixteen stone bloke, who sat in front of us, was looking at the floor and grinning. The chant was an accusation, and it was directed at us. “Chelsea-rent-boys! Chelsea-rent-boys!”

Over the ye

It was past midnight. I was with the guy I had liked for more than a year. We had just left a gay bar and, for some reason, started to speak about Christianity and homosexuality.

We were both Christians, but he and I held different views on this matter. He believed that it was not compatible with Christianity to act on gay desires, while I was convinced that God would bless same-sex relationships between Christians.

This wasn’t the first time we had talked about this. Every time we broached this topic, we’d disagree sharply with each other. I’d argue that since being queer wasn’t a selection, God surely wouldnot forbid us from acting on what was natural to us. He’d contend that the Bible was very distinct that homosexual action was sinful and not part of God’s will.

In the thick of our disagreement that nighttime, God planted this thought in my head: “Your creed that Christianity is compatible with homosexuality is based on the borrowed arguments of others who hold such convictions. Why don’t you look into this matter for yourself and come to your own conclusions? Besides, if this is true, what do you hold to lose?”

Until that moment, I’d been unreservedly gay-affirming. I was 13 wh

Kung Fu Panda Legends of Awesomeness - "My Favorite Yao"

Episode 14 Season 1

Synopsis:

Po helps Shifu channel his "inner Po" as they try to keep a visiting Kung Fu Master named Master Yao out of Temutai's clutches.

Characters:

I usually don't converse about fight scenes, but I think I should change that. It's the first time I recall Shifu going on four legs and using the identical kick as Tigress during the bridge fight in KFP1. His little ear twitches when he's angry or excited. And let's not forget this amazing twirl scene. It's so fun to see Shifu learning to loosen up a bit and grasp to cherish life.

Po this time was just trying to help Shifu and bond with him over the fact they're not so different.

Yao is a quirky size sweet old bloke. Sitting in a box for so long did a number on him. He just wanted one day of fun. And it episode definitely was. Also, I love how he gives Shifu head pats.

This is hands down the cutest episode so far.

Villain: Temutai was mostly bewildered and angry at Yao and Shifu for their crazy deed. I don’t blame him.
