Each year we get part in York Pride together with other churches.
This year York Event took place on Saturday 7th June. Christians at Celebration in York were again sponsors of York Pride, and our logo can be seen on their website. About 60 people walked together on the parade with other churches and had a Christians at Pride in York stall on the festival site on The Knavesmire. On the Wednesday evening before York Identity festival, on our behalf, York Minster hosted an event for people to be welcomed, to love the building ‘after hours’ with blazing chocolate and brownies and to possess the opportunity to join a brief service of compline in the Quire.
See below for some pictures of us on the Celebration Parade and afterwards at our stall on The Knavesmire.
