Oaken frozen gay

Oaken is even worse since, unlike Ryder, he is a very recurring traits in the Frozenverse, with an interview with Jennifer Lee even being quite ambiguous about his sexual orientation. And after all these years, a publication is released focusing on Kristoff's childhood and Oaken, who during all these years never officially had anything other than a big family of relatives, now has a wife and kids. And if this scene in "Frozen 1" is of his wife with his kids, they'll have to eliminate one child from the photo and the blond guy because he only has one couple of kids.

Trying to get something great from both of them:

  • At the alike time that Ryder's interest is confirmed, it also confirms Honeymaren's interest in the Snow Queen (and Ryder became a supporter of ElsaMaren later, with Honeymaren proving herself to be a useless lesbian, lol).
  • Oaken being gay would be a giant stereotype... The stereotypical character not existence gay is still positive, when if you exclude him, the gay rate drops to zero? Even in the Frozenverse, this has become a bit of a joke, since canonically there are only womxn loving womxn characters in the franchise. The couple that could be gay has

Does Frozen feature Disney’s first animated gay couple?

Our family has seen Frozen several times but Notice and I have not seen it together. I saw it first with the girls, and then Mark took the kids one day while I was working. When he came support, he said, “I can’t think they had a gay couple in the movie!” And I was like . . . huh? What are you talking about? I don’t remember tat and I would remember that. Mark was sure that when the shopkeeper of Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post and Sauna points to the sauna and says, “Hey family!”, that he was pointing to his husband and kids. I disagreed, because I assumed he referred to them as “family” generically (like the plural of “hey, girl”). But more than that, I didn’t believe him because I consideration a gay couple in a Disney movie would, sadly,  provoke the Boycott Heard Round the World. I didn’t think it was true because I knew there would have been backlash and public outcry. The #StandwithPhil folks would surely have rallied with petitions and posts. I saw the movie again, and was sure to pay closer attention. (In part because my husband texted me saying, “Look for the family in the hot tub” on my way to the theater

So, how gay is Disney’s Frozen?

I’m not surprised that it’s such a gigantic hit. I am a little surprised at the sustained effort of Christian fans to spin Frozen as some sort of Christian allegory (more on this in an upcoming post).

For now, though, I want to address something I noted in passing in my review: the question of gay-culture themes in Frozen.

In my review I mentioned this issue (also noted in positive reviews by other critics) largely to dismiss it as a point of concern — not that I wasn’t aware of the themes in interrogate, so much as that I didn’t think they warranted getting upset over. However, a point I overlooked earlier has just been brought to my attention that I deliberate does warrant mention.

First, let’s get the broad themes out on the table.

    • With her ice powers, Elsa is notably different from other people. “Born this way or cursed?” asks the troll king, and her parents confirm that she was born that way.
    • Nevertheless, her difference is an occasion of horror and secrecy. Misguidedly, her parents teach her to “conceal it, don’t perceive it.” This repression of her true nature

10 LGBTQ Disney Characters Who Paved The Way For 'Lightyear's Hawthorne

The evolution of LGBTQ+ Disney characters has always been agonizingly slow and unsteady. The business has taken child steps over the years to begin including queer voice in its films and TV shows, usually by allowing Pixar to hold the two moms hidden in the back or okaying the idea of LeFou being queer after all.

Whether it's two moms at the aquarium with Dory, a teenage coming out story on Disney Channel, or the blink-and-you'll-miss-it same-sex attracted moment in Frozen, every one of these characters paved the way for Hawthorne, a homosexual character in Pixar'sLightyearwho will have Disney's first-ever animated homosexual kiss.

Oaken And His Family (Frozen, 2013)

When Anna and Kristoff get together Oaken at Wandering Oaken's Trading Display and Sauna, he says hi to his family who are in the sauna. The two-second-long scene shows another man surrounded by four children through the steamy window of the sauna.

While the Frozen filmmakers have never addressed this scene, it's an accurate assumption to as
