The man who got as close as anyone could to the superstar performer Avicii still has no explanation for why he died six months ago. “I have this feeling of unreality,” says Levan Tsikurishvili, who spent four years filming the DJ for a documentary. “I’m still in shock. I don’t have a clear reason.”

Avicii: Accurate Stories, which will debut on Netflix in the US, UK and Australia on 28 December, presents an unflinching portrait of an artist coming apart. With fly-on-the-wall proximity, the camera shows Avicii repeatedly, and emphatically, telling everyone around him how exhausted, anxious and sick he is. “There was never an end to the shows, even when I punch a wall,” the DJ says adv in the movie. “My life is all about stress.”
“He’s a shell of what he used to be,” says a friend in the film, while another describes him as “a ticking timebomb”.
It all builds to the aim where, late in the documentary, Avicii flatly says of touring: “It will kill me.”
Eventually, he did do something about it. At the end of 2016, Avicii fired his manager and retired from the road.

DJ Avicii dies aged, 28
DJ Avicii, born, Tim Bergling has died at the age of 28, his publicist has confirmed.
The 28-year-old Swedish-born producer, who worked with the likes of Madonna, Rita Ora and Leona Lewis died in Oman, his publicist, Diana Baron announced today.
In a expression, Baron said, “The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their ask for for privacy in this hard time.”
Avicii’s anthems include “Wake Me Up”, “Hey Brother”, and most recently, “Lonely Together” with Rita Ora.
Avicii once joked that he was gay on Twitter saying, “Im not gay, my partner is!” in 2015.

Speaking about performing for gay crowds and gay rights in 2013 he told Gay San Diego magazine,
“I have family and friends that are gay and it’s an important issue for me. I grew up in Sweden. So it’s really not that much of an issue in Sweden the same way it is for gay marriage in America. Even within the culture in general, at least from what I feel growing up.
